Amol Digamber Karambe is an award-winning Marathi filmmaker, writer, and producer, widely recognised for his rooted, socially conscious storytelling and deep engagement with lived realities. He first drew critical attention with his short film Kali Pili (2021), which premiered at international film festivals and earned him the Best Director Award at the Pune International Short Film Festival, along with multiple national and international honours.
Over the past decade, Amol has written, produced, and directed more than 100 documentary films for various departments of the Government of India. His acclaimed wildlife documentary, An Enchanting Forest Land – The Bhimashankar Wildlife, received recognition at prestigious film festivals and crossed 2 million+ views across digital platforms. Another significant work, TANDA – A Story: Operation Parivartan, won the Maharashtra State Government’s UMED Film Competition Award and received national-level recognition for excellence.
In addition to films and documentaries, Amol has also made a strong mark in music-driven storytelling. As a producer and director, he has delivered widely loved music videos, including “Mitra – Vanvya Madhe Garvava Sarkha,” sung by Ajay Gogavale, which has crossed 15 million+ views, and the recent children-centric music video “Gogalgay,” celebrated for its nostalgic evocation of childhood memories.
His latest Marathi feature film, Aranya (2025), starring Hardeek Joshi, marked his feature debut as a writer-directorand established him as a powerful new voice in regional cinema with a distinct moral and emotional vision. He is currently developing a high-concept Hindi paranormal drama web series as creator and director for a leading OTT platform.
Amol is also a bestselling Marathi author. His book Nirlajjam Sada Sukhi (Be Shameless, Be Ever Happy) won the Maharashtra Ratna Award, reflecting his ability to connect deeply with readers beyond the screen.
Beyond filmmaking, Amol is a passionate entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Director of ADIK Productions LLP, a boutique creative studio known for story-driven films, documentaries, and OTT content. He also serves as the Head of the Advisory Director Body at Empiro Sustainable Services Pvt. Ltd., contributing to sustainability-focused and CSR-driven initiatives.
In recognition of his contributions across creative fields, Amol was honoured with the DPCT Achievement Award (2017) by renowned social activist Padma Bhushan Shri Anna Hazare.
